Confidence in Khaki

A man can run around in chinos from the moment he learns to walk to the day he is crawling again and never look better. The 100% cotton fabric is the prep’s security blanket of choice, only improving and ingratiating with wear. Lisa Birnbach goes as far to say, “A frayed chino cuff is the pant equivalent of a trusted friend.” But what about women? Does the attraction to this fabric born of the sword exhibit the same gravitational pull on them? Not exactly. By design, chinos lack a feminine sensibility; however, that doesn’t mean you can’t feel sexy in a pair. Christy Turlington shows just how charming one can be in the iconic trouser. It just takes confidence.

While there are a variety of ways to wear chinos, keep them hitting around the ankles and you’re golden. Whether you wear anything else with them, well that’s your business.
