We love a great tweed. That’s why we use England’s legendary mill, Hardy Minnis. They hold a Royal Warrant, granted by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Nobody does it better. Exclusively woven in Huddersfield, England, Hardy Minnis’ city tweeds are a gorgeous cloth equally at home in town or the country. They were created by the UK’s most sought after textile designer, Nigel F. Hardy, a descendent of legendary woolen merchant, John G. Hardy of London, featuring gorgeous new gun club checks, more vibrant deco colors, and reworkings of iconic plaids.

Its versatile 12 oz./360 gram weight makes it ideal to wear practically year round. The crisp finish, two-ply twist construction, and robust handle provide superior performance for our jackets, suits, trousers, and lightweight outerwear. Since its recent introduction, these iconic Made in England fabrics have ushered in a new standard in British city tweeds. Young Prince Edward (age 17)—later King Edward VIII and then the Duke of Windsor—in robes and coronet at his investiture as Prince of Wales in 1911. He acquired from John G. Hardy the black & white district check that would later bear his name.
